About the Designer

Hello, I’m Lauren…
I’m a freelance graphic designer and motion designer who helps small businesses, entrepreneurs, content creators, and streamers build memorable brands through thoughtful design. As the founder of Laurel Crown Graphics, I specialize in creating brand Identities, logos, motion graphics, and digital experiences that help people communicate who they are and connect with the audiences they want to reach.
Based in Utah, I work with clients both locally and remotely, partnering with businesses and creators who value creativity, collaboration, and purposeful design. Whether you’re launching a new business, refreshing an existing brand, or creating content that deserves a more polished visual identity, my goal is to make the design process approachable, transparent, and tailored to your needs.
Why I Became a Designer
I began pursuing graphic design because I love combining creativity with problem-solving.
Great design isn’t about making something look attractive. Every color, typeface, animation, and layout should communicate something meaningful. I enjoy taking complex ideas and transforming them into visual experiences that are clear, engaging, and memorable.
Whether I’m designing a logo, developing a complete brand identity, creating motion graphics, or producing digital assets, I approach every project with the same question:
“How can this design help communicate a story?”
For me, successful design builds trust, creates recognition, and helps businesses and creators stand out in competitive markets. My work focuses on balancing creativity with strategy, so every visual decision has a purpose.
My Background
I studied Digital Design at Mountainland Technical College, where I’ve had the opportunity to work on branding, marketing, user interface design, and motion graphics projects across a variety of industries.
One of the highlights of my education was participating in the inaugural MTECH Hack-a-thon, where my team earned First Place for our project, Threadshare, a concept for a fashion-sharing mobile application.
As the team’s brand designer, I created the visual identity, logo system, app icon, color palette, typography, and supporting brand assets that helped bring the concept to life. Working under tight deadlines alongside developers, UX designers, and other creatives reinforced how powerful collaboration can be when everyone works toward a shared goal.
That experience strengthened my belief that great design isn’t created in isolation. The best results come from understanding the people behind a project and working together to solve real problems.
Laurel Crown Graphics
I founded Laurel Crown Graphics because I wanted to provide businesses and creators with professional design services that feel personal.
Many freelancers focus only on delivering artwork, while larger agencies can sometimes make clients feel like just another account. My goal is to provide the quality and strategic thinking of a larger agency while maintaining the communication, flexibility, and personal attention of working directly with an independent designer.
When you work with me, you’re collaborating directly with the person designing your project from beginning to end. There are no layers of account managers or confusing approval chains; just open communication, honest feedback, and a shared commitment to creating something you’re proud of.
What I Specialize In
My primary focus is brand identity design and motion graphics.
Brand identity is much more than a logo. It’s the collection of visual elements that help people recognize, remember, and trust your business. I create cohesive brand systems that include logos, typography, color palettes, brand guidelines, marketing assets, and supporting graphics designed to keep your brand consistent across every platform.
Motion design brings those brands to life. Whether it’s an animated logo, social media animation, explainer video, or promotional content, animation helps businesses capture attention and communicate ideas more effectively.
I also enjoy working with content creators and streamers who want professional branding that reflects their personality while helping them grow their online communities. From channel branding and stream graphics to social media assets and animated overlays, I help creators establish a polished, recognizable presence across multiple platforms.
My Design Process
Every successful project begins with understanding.
Before opening any design software, I spend time learning about your goals, your audience, your competitors, and the message you want your brand to communicate. Understanding the “why” behind a project leads to stronger creative decisions and better long-term results.
From there, I move through a collaborative process that typically includes:
- Discovery and research
- Concept development
- Design exploration
- Feedback and refinement
- Final production and delivery
Throughout the process, I prioritize clear communication so you always know where your project stands and why certain design decisions are being made.
Rather than presenting design based solely on personal preference, I strive to explain the strategic reasoning behind each creative choice.
Who I Love Working With
One of the things I enjoy most about freelance design is the variety of people I get to work with.
I love partnering with:
- Small businesses building their first professional brand
- Entrepreneurs launching new ideas
- Startups preparing for growth
- Content creators developing their online presence
- Streamers creating memorable personal brands
- Organizations looking to modernize their visual identity
Every client has different goals, audiences, and challenges, which means every project is unique.
Whether you’re a one-person business or part of a growing team, I enjoy helping turn ideas into polished visual experiences that inspire confidence and communicate clearly.
Always Learning
The design industry evolves constantly, and that’s one of the reasons I enjoy it so much.
I’m continually exploring new techniques, studying branding systems, improving my animation workflow, and learning emerging technologies that can improve both creativity and efficiency.
Recently, I’ve been expanding my skills in Blender and 3D motion design while continuing to deepen my expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects. I also stay current with developments in AI-assisted creative workflows, using these tools thoughtfully to support ideation and productivity while ensuring every final design reflects original creative direction and careful craftsmanship.
Learning isn’t just part of my career; it’s one of the things I genuinely enjoy.
Beyond Design
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me experimenting with new animation techniques, exploring branding projects for fun, or finding inspiration in fantasy stories, tabletop games, video games, and creative communities.
These interests continually influence my creative thinking and remind me that great design often comes from unexpected places. Whether it’s storytelling, world-building, or visual symbolism, I enjoy discovering ideas that can make brands more engaging and memorable.
Let’s Build Something Together
Whether you’re starting a business, refreshing an existing brand, launching a product, or growing your online presence, I’d love to help bring your ideas to life.
If you’re looking for a freelance graphic designer who values collaboration, communication, thoughtful strategy, and craftsmanship, I’d be honored to be part of your next project.
Let’s create something memorable together.
